Latham & Watkins Advises on Avenia’s US$17 Million Series A

Members of the firm’s Emerging Companies & Growth Practice represent the lead investor in the funding round by the fintech company.
Brazilian fintech Avenia has raised a US$17 million Series A round co-led by Quona and Big Bets with participation from Fluent Ventures, Tomorrow Capital, and Scale Up by Endeavor. The round also included angel investors from finance companies such as Revolut, Santander, HSBC, and PagSeguro. Avenia offers a regulated SaaS platform for cross-border payments and stablecoin transactions.
Latham & Watkins LLP represented Quona in the funding with an Emerging Companies & Growth team led by Bay Area partner Seth Gottlieb, with associates Katie Stevens and Andres Medina-Jordan.
