Latham Advises Eutelsat in C. €1 Billion Satellite Export Credit Agency Financing
Latham & Watkins has advised Eutelsat, a global leader in satellite communications, on its approximately €1 billion Export Credit Agency financing for the procurement of LEO satellites for its OneWeb constellation.
The financing will be provided by a pool of commercial banks, which will benefit from a French State guarantee — obtained through its export credit agency, Bpifrance Assurance Export — for an amount of approximately €975 million equivalent.
The Latham team was led by London partners Alexander Buckeridge-Hocking and Tom Bartlett, with Paris counsel Aurélien Lorenzi, and associates Daniel Chen, Léa Demulder, Ophélie Emprin, and Nicole Louise Courtney. Advice was also provided on capital markets matters by Paris partner Thomas Margenet-Baudry, with Paris counsel Michael Ettannani, with associates Hamza El Mouahid, Sarada Nateshan, Adrien Couvrecelle, and Manel Mebarkia.
