Latham Advises SoftBank Group on Emergent’s US$70 Million Series B

Latham & Watkins has advised SoftBank Group, a Japanese multinational investment holding company, on a US$70 million Series B funding round for Emergent, the fast-growing AI software creation platform. The round was led by Khosla Ventures and SoftBank Group, with participation from Prosus, Lightspeed, Together, and Y Combinator.
The Series B funding will support Emergent’s continued team growth, accelerated product development, and expansion into new markets.
The Latham team was led by Singapore corporate partner Sidharth Bhasin and Orange County/Bay Area partner Nima Movahedi, with Los Angeles associates Kojo Hayward and Adrian Guess.
