Latham & Watkins Advises DB Insurance in US$1.65 Billion Acquisition of Fortegra

DB Insurance Co., Ltd., Tiptree Inc. (NASDAQ: TIPT), and Warburg Pincus LLC announced that the parties have signed an agreement for DB Insurance to acquire 100% of the outstanding shares of The Fortegra Group, Inc., a US-based specialty insurer, for approximately US$1.65 billion (approximately KRW 2.3 trillion) in cash from Tiptree and Warburg Pincus.

Latham & Watkins LLP represents DB Insurance in the transaction with a corporate deal team led by New York partners Gary Boss, Kirsten Gaeta, and Andrew Elken and counsel Andrew Moosmann, with associates Teresa Ella Wendel and Maddy Berg, and with assistance from Seoul counsel Diona Park and Regina Kim.
