Latham & Watkins Advised Macquarie Group on US$350 Million in Financings for Fermi America

Fermi America™, developing the world's largest, behind-the-meter artificial intelligence private grid campus (the HyperGrid™ Project), in partnership with the Texas Tech University System, today announced the successful close of its US$100 million Series C preferred equity financing round led by Macquarie Group, alongside the establishment of an up to US$250 million senior secured equipment financing, funded solely by Macquarie's Commodities and Global Markets business, with US$100 million drawn at close.

Latham & Watkins LLP advised the Macquarie Group in the equity transaction with a team led by New York partner Andrew Blumental, with associate Yulong Li; and the financing transaction with a team led by New York partners Paul Bonewitz and Cameron Lyons, with associates Tulika Sinha, Miles Primason, and Kyle Dudney. Advice was also provided on tax matters by Los Angeles partner Ana O’Brien, with associate Arash Lotfi.
