Latham Advises Aurora Energy Research on Its Sale to TPG Rise Climate

Latham & Watkins has advised Aurora Energy Research, a portfolio company of CGE and 22C Capital, on its sale to TPG Rise Climate. As part of the transaction, TPG will acquire a majority stake and CGE, 22C Capital, and Aurora’s CEO John Feddersen will all make significant reinvestments in the business.

Founded in 2013 and headquartered in Oxford, England, Aurora is a leading global provider of mission-critical data and software analytics to the power sector. Through its proprietary models and datasets, it provides forecasts and price benchmarks to energy market participants, governments, and investors.

The Latham team was led by London corporate partner Paul Dolman, with associates James Richards, Timi Afolami, and Natalie Lam.
