Latham Named International Firm of the Year at IFLR Americas Awards 2025

Latham & Watkins was named International Firm of the Year at the IFLR Americas Awards 2025. The firm was also recognized for two Team of the Year awards and for advising on two Deals of the Year. The firm was shortlisted across 12 categories overall. These awards celebrate legal innovation and showcase transactions that set new legal precedents and advance the legal landscape for cross-border corporate finance.

The awards program celebrated “the most legally innovative cross-border deals closed in the region during 2024 and the teams and individuals behind them.”

Latham’s recognitions include:

  • International Law Firm of the Year — With 14 global regional practices and offices in more than a dozen countries, this recognition underscores Latham’s global reach and ability to mobilize top practitioners across borders to serve clients.
  • Equity Team of the Year — Latham’s equity team was honored for advising on several outstanding transactions, including Equity Deal of the Year, and shortlisted for two additional deals.
  • Project Finance Team of the Year — Latham’s project finance team oversaw IFLR’s Project Finance Deal of the Year for the Americas and was shortlisted for two more.

Latham also advised on award-winning deals, including:

  • Equity Deal of the Year — A cross-border Latham team represented the underwriters in the US$1.365 billion IPO of Amer Sports, a global group of iconic sports and outdoor brands.
  • Project Finance Deal of the Year — Latham represented Cedar LNG in its partnership developing a floating LNG facility powered by renewable electricity, with a nameplate capacity of 3.3 million metric tons per year, making it one of the lowest emitting LNG facilities in the world.
