Latham Advises TA Associates on Take-Private Acquisition of FD Technologies
A cross-practice Latham & Watkins team has advised TA Associates, a leading global private equity firm, on its offer to acquire FD Technologies plc, a company listed on the London Stock Exchange, and the owner of the global real-time analytics leader KX. The offer values FD Technologies at approximately £570 million.
The Latham team was led by London corporate partners Paul Dolman and Richard Butterwick, with associates Edward Coates, Jacopo Eftekhar Zonouzi, Sam Cadd, and Manon Cote. TA was advised on finance matters by London partner Hugh O’Sullivan and New York partner Jerome McCluskey, with associates Farisha Khan, Melissa Doura, Andrew O’Neill, and Xiaotian Xu.
Advice on data and technology matters was led by London partner Christian McDermott; on employment matters by London partner Sarah Gadd; on real estate matters by London partner Quentin Gwyer; and on tax matters by London partner Helen Lethaby and counsel James Leslie.
The offer for FD Technologies is the latest in a series of high-profile take-privates on which Latham has advised in London, following its role in DoorDash’s take-private of Deliveroo in May 2025 and on five of the top 10 largest European public-to-private deals in 2024, including Hargreaves Lansdown, Darktrace, and Tyman.
