Latham & Watkins Represents UL Solutions Inc. in Upsized US$1.08 Billion IPO

Chicago capital markets team advises on the offering by a global leader in applied safety science, the second-largest US IPO of 2024 to date.

On April 16, 2024, UL Solutions Inc., a global leader in applied safety science based in Northbrook, Illinois, completed its initial public offering of an aggregate of 38,870,000 shares of Class A Common Stock by the Selling Stockholder at a price to the public of US$28 per share, which includes the exercise in full by the underwriters of their option to purchase an additional 5,070,000 shares of Class A Common Stock from the Selling Stockholder. The Company did not receive any proceeds from the sale of the shares in the offering. The shares began trading on the New York Stock Exchange on April 12, 2024 under the ticker symbol “ULS.”
