Latham & Watkins Advises on Financing for KKR’s Acquisition of SunFireMatrix, Inc.

SunFireMatrix, Inc., a leading software and tech-enabled services platform serving the insurance distribution and health plan markets, has announced that it has been acquired by funds managed by KKR, a leading global investment firm. Funds managed by Stone Point Capital LLC, the Company’s previous majority owner, will continue to be a significant minority shareholder in the Company. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.

Latham & Watkins LLP represented the lenders to KKR in the transaction with a team led by partners Michael Benjamin, Paul Bonewitz, and Alfred Xue, with associates Dan Ovadia and Jack Klein. Advice was also provided on tax matters by partner Bora Bozkurt, with associate Sam Yang.
