Latham & Watkins Advises L Catterton on Financing Round of Razor Group

Latham & Watkins LLP advised L Catterton on a financing round of Razor Group, a leading global aggregator of third-party e-commerce businesses. The US$70 million financing round was led by L Catterton's Latin America Fund.

In connection with the financing round, Razor acquired Valoreo Inc., the leading e-commerce player in Latin America, from Valoreo’s existing shareholders (including L Catterton). The investment gives Razor a significant presence in the region.

L Catterton is a leading consumer-focused private equity firm, with approximately US$30 billion of equity capital across its fund strategies and 17 offices worldwide.

The team was led by Frankfurt private equity partner Maximilian Platzer and London private equity partner Tom Evans, with associates Annika Bilics and Nils Horst. Advice was also provided on corporate/IP matters by Frankfurt partner Susan Kempe-Müller; on tax matters by Hamburg partner Verena Seevers; and on antitrust matters by Hamburg counsel Jana Dammann de Chapto with Frankfurt associate Nicolas Jung.
