Michele Johnson Honored Among California’s Top 100 Lawyers

Global Chair of Latham’s Litigation & Trial Department, Michele Johnson, has been named among the Daily Journal's Top 100 Lawyers in California for 2022. The annual feature by California's legal newspaper of record recognizes attorneys “who have an impact — on an industry or on the larger society."

Johnson’s profile highlights impactful victories achieved on behalf a varied mix of clients, including securing a complete defense verdict for NextGen Healthcare, a leading healthcare solutions provider. Johnson led the Latham team on this rare and precedent-setting matter, which marked the first time a “holder’s claim” went to trial in nearly 100 years. Speaking with the Daily Journal about her practice, Johnson noted she especially enjoys representing companies in the pharmaceutical, biotech, and technology spaces as “the legal challenges are new, and it’s fun to litigate them.”
