Latham Advises LaSalle in Connection With US$2.2 Billion Real Estate Fundraising of LaSalle Asia Opportunity VI

Latham & Watkins has advised LaSalle Investment Management (LaSalle), one of the world’s leading real estate investment managers with US$82 billion in AUM globally (as of Q1 2022), in connection with its US$2.2 billion equity fundraising for LaSalle Asia Opportunity VI (LAO VI), including sidecars and co-investment programmes, exceeding its initial target of US$1.5 billion. LAO VI is a closed-ended, opportunistic real estate fund with an Asia Pacific focus and is one of LaSalle’s flagship fund in Asia.

LAO VI received strong support from a diverse group of both new and existing global investors, attracting capital from North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.

The Latham team was led by London corporate partner James McCrory and London associate Thea Crawshaw. Advice was also provided on US tax matters by New York partner Greg Hannibal, with New York associate Lauren Bewley, and on Singapore law matters by partner Farhana Sharmeen.
