Cross-border team represents global investment firm on acquisition of leading protective equipment company.

Latham & Watkins has advised global investment firm Carlyle on its acquisition of Dainese, a leader in the design and manufacturing of protective equipment for motorcycling and dynamic sports, from InvestCorp and Lino Dainese.

Founded in 1972 and headquartered in Vicenza, Italy, Dainese has engineered and patented pioneering inventions in the world of safety and protection, including the back protector and the first wearable airbag for motorcyclists, in collaboration with world sport champions. The company has grown to become a global leader in superior quality protection equipment and apparel for motorcycling and other dynamic sports, establishing 36 destination stores across 7 countries and building a loyal global community of athletes and enthusiasts.

The Latham team was led by Milan corporate partner Stefano Sciolla, with partner Giancarlo D’Ambrosio and associates Luca Maranetto and Guido Hassan.
