Latham & Watkins Advises Silver Lake on Investment in Australian A-League and Other Professional Leagues

Latham & Watkins advised Silver Lake, a global technology investment firm, on its acquisition of a 33% stake in the Australian Professional Leagues (APL), which operates the country’s top-flight men’s and women’s soccer leagues.

Silver Lake’s investment will focus on technology enhancements and innovation aimed at improving fan experience and developing the sport in Australia.

The Latham team was led by corporate partners Justin Hamill and Ed Barnett, entertainment, sports & media partner Patrick Mitchell, and corporate associate Alex McCarney, with support from associates Suneel Basson-Bhatoa, Stewart Robinson, Hannah Berdal, and Jacopo Zonouzi.
