Latham Named M&A Practice Group of the Year

Latham & Watkins has received recognition as Mergers & Acquisitions Practice Group of the Year from Law360, which highlighted the firm’s work to “represent clients on some of the biggest deals of 2020.”

In a feature article, Law360 noted that 2020 has been “a particularly good year for Latham as it was ranked first in the world for its work on mergers and acquisitions by value and worked on 315 deals in just the first three quarters of the year, according to data from Mergermarket.”

In particular, Law360 highlighted Latham’s representation of NVIDIA in its US$40 billion acquisition of Arm Limited, the largest semiconductor industry deal in history, advice to Aon plc in its US$80 billion combination with Willis Towers Watson, and counsel to Siemens Healthineers AG in its US$16.4 billion purchase of Varian Medical Systems Inc.
