Boston Litigation & Trial Partner Named to Power 50

BJ Trach recognized by the Boston Business Journal as one of the region’s most influential leaders.

Litigation & Trial partner and Executive Committee member BJ Trach has been named to the Boston Business Journal’s 2019 Power 50 list which recognizes, “those who are respectable leaders, admired by their coworkers and industry peers.” In particular, the list honors “people in the business community who get things done and wield their influence for the good of the community.”

Trach was recognized for his significant business achievements, impactful pro bono work, and leadership. He represents companies and individuals facing a variety of complex commercial matters, as well as white collar defense and government investigations. Trach has represented Boston-based General Electric (GE) in an ongoing defense against major claims related to a drop in the company’s stock drop. His pro bono service in the Boston community includes representing LGBT asylum seekers, representing indigent criminal defendants in state and federal court, and writing multiple amicus briefs on behalf of the Massachusetts Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys.

Trach is the first Boston-based partner elected to the firm’s nine-person Executive Committee. Before his election, Trach served as Global Chair of Latham’s Diversity Leadership Committee (DLC) which spearheads the firm’s diversity strategy and initiatives. In that role, Trach led efforts to strengthen and promote the firm as a workplace where the best and brightest attorneys from all groups, including those traditionally underrepresented in the legal industry, excel and find the opportunities and support to fulfill their potential to become firm and industry leaders.
