A team of Latham & Watkins partners have been featured in the annual “Dealmakers Impact Report” published by Variety for advising on cutting-edge deals that are shaping “a new art of dealmaking” in the entertainment industry. Joseph Calabrese, Christopher Brearton, Robert Haymer, Nancy Bruington and Kenneth Deutsch in Century City and Lisbeth Savill in London were recognized in the report, which highlights transactional lawyers and entertainment executives who have driven the most notable deals in the industry during the past year. The Latham lawyers were cited for crafting deals that address complex issues related to content distribution and sponsorship rights, as well for their diverse skills advising on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic alliances, project financing, and production and licensing agreements for a range of clients that include studios, entertainment and media companies, sports teams and organizations, financial institutions and private equity firms. In addition to the honored partners, counsel Adam Sullins in Century City received “Up Next” recognition in the Variety report for being among emerging deal leaders in the industry. All of the lawyers are members of the firm’s dynamic Entertainment, Sports & Media Practice Group.
