Olivia Featherstone is an associate in the London office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the firm's Litigation & Trial Department.

Ms. Featherstone works within the Complex Commercial Litigation and International Arbitration Practices.

Ms. Featherstone has acted for clients in a range of high profile and value cases before the English High Court. She has also represented clients in commercial and investor-state arbitration. Ms. Featherstone advises a range of clients including corporates and financial institutions.

Ms. Featherstone completed her training at Latham, and qualified into the Litigation & Trial Department in September 2019 having also completed training in the Finance and Corporate Departments.

Ms. Featherstone's experience includes advising:

  • Samba Financial Group in relation to an approximately US$450 million claim brought in the English High Court by liquidators of a Cayman Islands company arising from the Al-Sanea/Al-Gosaibi dispute
  • A leading investment bank in relation to claims in the High Court and Competition Appeal Tribunal involving allegations of collusion in the foreign exchange market
  • One of the world’s largest financial exchanges defending a series of breach of warranty claims by the purchaser of a voice broking business
  • Ukraine in an arbitration brought by three Cypriot companies under the Energy Charter Treaty for payment of damages in excess of US$6 billion — the largest ever treaty claim brought against Ukraine
  • A security agent defending a multimillion-pound High Court claim for rectification of security documentation in the context of notes issuances worth in excess of £500 million
