Margaret Lam is a knowledge management lawyer in the Hong Kong office of Latham & Watkins, in the Corporate Department. Ms. Lam has represented clients in a range of corporate transactions, including:

Prior to joining Latham, Ms. Lam has been working with renowned international law firms in Hong Kong for years, where she worked on the corporate team as well as on the structured finance and derivatives team.

Ms. Lam’s representative experience includes advising: 

  • New World Development Company Limited and its wholly owned subsidiary, Upper Start Holdings Limited, on their participation in the sale of CSL New World Mobility Limited to HKT Limited* 
  • GCL-Poly Energy Holdings Limited on its subscription of new shares in Same Time Holdings Limited and application for a whitewash waiver* 
  • On the global offering and listing of H and A shares of New China Life Insurance Company Ltd. on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and Shanghai Stock Exchange* 
  • China Zenix Auto International Limited in relation to its offering of American depository shares on the New York Stock Exchange* 
  • Metallurgical Corporation of China Ltd. in relation to its global offering of H shares and A shares and listing on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong*
