Mr. Overmar's experience includes advising:

  • Platinum Equity on its US$1.3 billion acquisition of Wyndham Worldwide’s European vacation rental business    
  • The Carlyle Group on the €10.1 billion acquisition by Carlyle and GIC of AkzoNobel's Specialty Chemicals business 
  • A consortium of long-term investors on the €3.7bn acquisition of a Dutch vehicle management company, from a joint venture involving an automobile manufacturer and a financial institution* 
  • A private equity company on their acquisition of fire protection provider from two investments companies*   
  • An investment company on its co-investment in a international payment services company*
  • Two publishing companies on the sale of a Media company to a Belgium publisher*
  • A global IT support service, on its acquisition of certain technology subsidiaries in Europe*
  • Buckeye Partners in US$1.15 billion acquisition of 50% interest in VTTI, a leading independent provider of energy storage solutions
  • Bay Grove on the acquisition of Partner Logistics, a European automated cold storage provider with warehouses in the Netherlands, the UK, and Belgium
  • Carlyle International Energy Partners on its investment in Mazarine Energy, an upstream oil and gas company with existing assets in Tunisia
