Laura Atkinson-Hope

Public Service Counsel, Director of Global Pro Bono

Laura Atkinson-Hope directs the firm’s worldwide pro bono practice and guides Latham’s Pro Bono Committee across the firm’s 30 offices, developing strategic engagements in support of global humanitarian causes.

Under her leadership, Latham practices in nearly every area of public interest law and is one of the world’s largest providers of free legal services. Since 2000, the firm has provided more than 4 million hours of pro bono services to underserved individuals and families and the nonprofit sector.

Among her recent signature initiatives, Ms. Atkinson-Hope led the firm’s response to the Afghanistan evacuation and COVID-relief efforts.

Ms. Atkinson-Hope serves on the Advisory Board of the International Refugee Assistance Project, the National Pro Bono Strategic Advisory Group for KIND, and completed a term on the Executive Committee of the Association of Pro Bono Counsel. She is also a member of Law360’s Access to Justice Editorial Advisory Board.

Ms. Atkinson-Hope joined the firm’s New York office as an associate in the Finance Department in 2013 and has served in progressive roles on Latham’s global pro bono leadership team since 2015.
