  • The sponsors, led by Total, in connection with the US$20 billion financing by several ECAs of the development of an LNG Project in Mozambique; the transaction was named Global Multilateral Deal of the Year of 2020 by Project Finance International
  • Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) with respect to the gas supply arrangements for NLNG trains 1-6
  • Steelhead LNG in relation to the development and financing of proposed floating LNG export facilities on Vancouver Island
  • Blackstone in connection with its US$2 billion investment in Sabine Pass Liquefaction Facility, an LNG export facility to be located in Louisiana, United States
  • The Export Import Bank of the United States, the Export Import Bank of China, and a syndicate of 15 commercial lenders on an US$8.5 billion project financing of a coal seam gas to LNG project in Australia sponsored by Origin Energy Limited, ConocoPhillips, and China Petrochemical Corporation (Sinopec)
  • RBS / ABN AMRO in connection with the financing of 4Gas' equity investment in the Dragon LNG receiving terminal in Wales

  • HSBC Middle East with respect to a US$1 billion structured forward sale financing for an international oil and gas company in Egypt
  • Morgan Stanley and JPMorgan as lead arrangers of a US$1 billion structured oil receivables financing relating to the sale of oil by the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation
  • NNPC and an international energy company in connection with the financing of the development a US$1.275 billion natural gas liquids (NGL) expansion project in Nigeria
  • International and domestic lenders and trading companies in respect of a US$1.5 billion forward sale oil financing by NNPC in Nigeria
  • HSBC with respect to a secured reserves based lending facility for IPR Transoil Corporation
  • JPMorgan and National Bank of Egypt as lead arrangers of a US$2 billion pre-export finance credit facility relating to the forward sale of oil by the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation

Refineries 

  • NNPC with respect to negotiations for the rehabilitation and upgrade of refineries in Nigeria
  • Preem AB, the Swedish oil refinery business, in connection with a US$2.8 billion refinancing and exchange offer and amendments to oil inventory and receivables facility 

Transport and Infrastructure

  • NNPC with respect to the financing and development of the Ajaokuta-Kaduna-Kano Gas Pipeline and Stations Project in Nigeria
  • DNB Bank and Crédit Agricole Corporate & Investment Bank as lead arrangers and agents in connection with the US$1.8 billion financing of four ultra deep-water drill ships to be owned by subsidiaries of Pacific Drilling Limited
