Johannes Poon is a Knowledge Management Lawyer (UK Equity Capital Markets, Public Company Representation, and Public M&A) in the London office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the firm’s Corporate Department.

Mr. Poon has extensive experience advising clients on equity capital markets transactions, corporate governance, market abuse, and other continuing obligations of listed companies. In particular, he has worked with clients operating in the technology and life sciences sectors, advising them on IPOs and secondary listings on both the main market of the London Stock Exchange and AIM.

Mr. Poon is a member of the ICAEW’s Business Law Committee.

  • Numis Securities Limited on the AIM IPO of Diurnal Group, a spin out company from the University of Sheffield specialising in targeting patient needs in chronic endocrine (hormonal) diseases and a member of the IP Group portfolio of companies*
  • Motif Bio plc, a clinical stage biopharmaceutical company, on its £19.4 million placing on AIM*
  • ScS Group plc, one of the UK's largest retailers of upholstered furniture and floorings, on its IPO admission to premium listing and to trading on the main market of the London Stock Exchange*
  • SDL plc, an international language translation services business, on its £36.2 million secondary placing on the main market of the London Stock Exchange to finance its acquisition from Donnelley Financial Solutions, Inc. of the business and assets (including the shares of certain entities in Luxembourg and Spain) of Donnelley Language Solutions*
