Derek McKinley, a member of the Finance Department, focuses on project development and finance. Mr. McKinley's industry experience includes construction, infrastructure, oil and gas, petrochemicals, power, renewables and telecommunications.

 

Mr. McKinley's most recent experience includes advising:

  • A bidder to the Kabd Municipal Solid Waste to Energy PPP project in Kuwait
  • A bidder to the 280 MW Abdaliyah Integrated Solar Combined Cycle (ISCC) PPP project in Kuwait
  • The primary sponsor of the development and US$150 million project financing of the 22 MIGD Al Hamra IWP in the UAE
  • Aqaba Development Corporation on the $400+ million procurement of marine works, two grain terminals, a LNG terminal and a LPG terminal forming phases one and two of the New Port of Aqaba in Jordan
  • A shareholder in the 1,700 MW Phase 3 of the Yanbu IWPP in Saudi Arabia
  • Harbin Electric International on its major subcontracts for the engineering, procurement and construction of Phase 1 of the 1,200 MW Hassyan Clean Coal Plant in the UAE
  • Emirates Telecommunications Corporation on its proposed $2 billion revolving credit facility
  • Tamasek on its bid for a significant interest in Talisman Energy’s upstream assets/operations in Indonesia, Malaysia, Papua New Guinea and Vietnam
