Chris Ramsey is an associate in the London office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the firm’s Corporate Department.

Mr. Ramsey advises clients on strategic cross-border transactions, including public takeovers, private mergers and acquisitions, and joint ventures. He also regularly advises UK listed companies on matters of corporate governance and shareholder activism.

Mr. Ramsey’s experience includes advising:

  • Abcam plc, a global life sciences company, on its US$5.7 billion takeover by Danaher Corporation
  • Agility, a supply chain services, infrastructure, and innovation company, on its £763 million takeover of John Menzies plc
  • 888 on its £2.2 billion acquisition of William Hill International, a reverse takeover under the UK Listing Rules
  • Atotech, a leading speciality chemicals company, on its US$5.1 billion takeover by MKS Instruments
  • Rothesay Life on its acquisition of a £10.1 billion annuity portfolio from Prudential 
  • Ericsson on its acquisition of Ericom, a cyber-security company
  • Royal London, the UK’s largest life, pensions and investment mutual, on its acquisition of Aegon’s individual protection business
  • Nordic Capital on its US$846 million takeover of Advanz Pharma Corp. 
  • Paysafe Group plc on its £2.96 billion takeover by a consortium of Blackstone and CVC*
  • Pareteum Corp. on its US$105 million cash and share takeover of Artilium plc*
  • Patron Capital on its disposal of Optimum Credit, a second charge lender, to Australian lender Pepper Money*
  • LabCorp on its US$595 million acquisition of the non-clinical contract research business of Envigo and the sale of LabCorp’s US$110 million research models business to Envigo*
  • Zopa Group Limited on a share capital reorganization and related £60 million capital raising*
  • Qatar Insurance Corp. on its acquisition of the Gibraltar based insurance division of Markerstudy Group*
