Andrew Bentz is an associate in the Los Angeles office of Latham & Watkins. Mr. Bentz is a member of the Corporate Department and advises clients on capital markets, securities, and corporate matters.

Mr. Bentz represents both financial institutions and issuers in a wide variety of public and private financing transactions, including:

  • Initial public offerings
  • Follow-on and public equity offerings
  • Straight debt offerings
  • Convertible debt offerings
  • Debt exchange offers
  • Tender offers
  • Acquisition financing

He also represents companies with respect to general corporate and securities matters, including corporate governance issues, Exchange Act reporting obligations, and stock exchange rules and requirements.

Mr. Bentz earned his JD from the University of Alberta, where he served on the editorial board of the Alberta Law Review and received several academic awards. He also holds a master's degree in applied mathematics from Columbia University. 

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Bentz was a corporate associate at a leading Canadian law firm. Before pursuing a career in law, Mr. Bentz worked at a global catastrophe risk management company.
