Joseph D. Sullivan

Retired Partner

Joseph Sullivan retired from the partnership in December 2011. Mr. Sullivan was an experienced M&A tax practitioner who had extensive expertise in a broad range of transactional tax matters. He represented domestic and foreign corporations, private equity firms, venture capital firms and other types of business ventures in acquisitions, dispositions, restructurings, mergers, spin-offs, financings and other transactions. He also had significant experience structuring international M&A transactions, including expertise in structuring such transactions for US private equity firms.   

Mr. Sullivan joined the firm in its Washington, D.C. office in 1985 and became a partner in 1992. He headed up the D.C. office transactional tax practice.
