    Danielle McCall is an associate in the Washington, D.C. office. She focuses on white collar criminal defense, government and internal investigations, and complex commercial litigation. Ms. McCall has represented clients in connection with government-facing investigations into alleged violations of the False Claims Act (FCA), Anti-Kickback Statute, and Stark Law, as well as administrative actions involving receipt or retention of overpayments and breach of fiduciary duties. In addition, she has managed all aspects of federal and state court litigation at the trial and appellate level, including class actions involving US securities laws and regulations.

    Prior to joining Latham, Danielle clerked for Judge C. Darnell Jones, II of the US District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

    Ms. McCall’s recent experience includes advising:

    • Various healthcare systems and hospital networks in internal and government investigations related to healthcare fraud and abuse laws
    • International pharmaceutical companies in the development, implementation, and enhancement of corporate compliance programs
    • An international pharmaceutical company in an internal investigation and investigation by the US Department of Justice (DOJ) related to alleged kickbacks and improper remuneration to healthcare professionals
    • A major healthcare system in an internal investigation and investigation by the US Department of Labor related to alleged breach of fiduciary duties 
    • A multinational financial institution in qui tam FCA litigation
    • Regional and national healthcare systems in an investigation by the US DOJ related to alleged Medicaid fraud, and subsequent non-intervened qui tam litigation 
    • A leading loan provider in numerous class action suits involving alleged violations of US securities laws and regulations  
    • An independent panel of experts in the investigation of the police-involved death of Elijah McClain
    • Pro-bono clients and partner organizations in constitutional challenge of statutes and ordinances criminalizing homelessness
