Latham & Watkins Assists AVANGRID in Securing CFIUS Clearance

CFIUS concluded that there were no unresolved national security issues with respect to AVANGRID’s merger with PNM Resources.

AVANGRID, Inc. (NYSE: AGR), a clean energy company, has confirmed that it has received clearance from the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) after the conclusion of the initial review period in relation to the proposed merger combination with PNM Resources (NYSE: PNM). CFIUS concluded that there were no unresolved national security concerns with respect to the transaction.
