Latham & Watkins Advises StandardAero on Acquisition of Signature Aviation’s Engine Repair and Overhaul Business

A corporate team advised the maintenance, repair, and overhaul provider.

StandardAero, a leading provider of maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services and a portfolio company of The Carlyle Group, has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Signature Aviation’s Engine Repair and Overhaul (ERO) business for US$230 million. The agreement was signed on February 16, 2021. The transaction is expected to close mid-2021, subject to the receipt of regulatory approvals and the satisfaction of other customary closing conditions as detailed in the company press release.
