Latham & Watkins Advises Lateral in FirstClose’s Series A and Term Loan

FirstClose, a leading property and borrower data intelligence provider, has closed a US$35 million funding round from Lateral Investment Management in the form of Series A equity investment and a term loan, with a commitment for additional capital in the form of a delayed draw term loans.  This platform investment gives Lateral Investment Management a significant strategic stake in the emerging fintech company.

Latham & Watkins LLP represented Lateral Investment Management on the transaction with a deal team led by Bay Area partners Jim Morrone, Haim Zaltzman, and Dan Van Fleet and Bay Area associate Vidit Mehra, with support from Austin associate Erin Cusenbary and Bay Area associates Han Lee, and Lydia Lim.  Advice was also provided on tax matters by Bay Area partner Katharine Moir.
