Latham & Watkins Advises Canva in Latest Funding Round Resulting in US$40 Billion Valuation

Canva, the global visual communications platform, announced a US$40 billion valuation after a funding round led by T. Rowe Price and joined by new and existing strategic investors, including Franklin Templeton, Sequoia Capital Global Equities, Bessemer Venture Partners, Greenoaks Capital, Dragoneer Investments, Blackbird, Felicis, and AirTree Ventures. 

Latham & Watkins LLP represented Canva in the transaction with a corporate deal team led by Bay Area partner Ben Potter with associates Michael Podolny, Arman Carretta, Erica Chae, and Peter Prial. Advice was also provided on compensation and benefits by Bay Area partner Ashley Wagner; on tax matters by Bay Area partner Kirt Switzer with associate Alex Farris; and on antitrust matters by Bay Area partner Joshua Holian and Washington, D.C. counsel Peter Todaro.
