Latham & Watkins Advises Reface on its US$5.5 Million Seed Round

Emerging companies team represents AI app in financing round led by venture capital firm and several angel investors.

Latham & Watkins advised Reface, an AI app for video and GIF face-swaps, as it raised US$5.5 million in a seed round of financing led by Andreessen Horowitz and several well-known angel investors.

Reface strives to build the first social platform of dynamically personalized media content empowered with machine learning technologies. Since the official launch in January 2020, the app has been downloaded over 70 million times.

The Latham team was led by corporate partner Mike Turner in London, with associates Alexandar Vukadinovic in London and David Ajalat in Los Angeles.
