Latham Advises on Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank’s US$3 Billion Notes Offering

Cross-border team advises underwriters in multilateral development bank’s global issuance.

Latham & Watkins advised the underwriters on Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank’s (AIIB) global issuance of US$3 billion 0.5% notes due in 2025 registered with the SEC. The notes are listed on the London Stock Exchange’s regulated market. 

The net proceeds from the sale of the notes will be included in the ordinary resources of AIIB. AIIB’s mission is to foster sustainable economic development, create wealth and improve infrastructure connectivity in Asia by investing in infrastructure and other productive sectors, and promote regional cooperation and partnership in addressing development challenges by working in close collaboration with other multilateral and bilateral development institutions. 

The capital markets deal team was led by Moscow partner David Stewart and Washington, D.C. partner Paul Dudek, with London associates Olivia Molineux and Rosie Wu.
