Latham & Watkins Advises KKR in Music Catalog Acquisition

Leading global investment firm KKR, together with Ryan Tedder, songwriter, musician, producer and lead vocalist of OneRepublic, announced that KKR has agreed to acquire a majority stake of the music catalog of Tedder and OneRepublic, including music publishing and recorded music rights. 

Latham & Watkins LLP represented KKR in the transaction with an Entertainment, Sports & Media corporate team led by New York partner Justin Hamill, Century City partner Jonathan West, Los Angeles partner David Zaheer with associates Sam Lehman, Julian Azran, Daniel Weissman and Molly Wolfe. Advice was also provided on tax matters by New York partner Lisa Watts with associate Eric Kamerman; on finance matters by New York partner Kevin Fingeret with associate Nancy Zhu.
