Latham & Watkins Advises Atomico on US$100 Million Series C for Aiven

Emerging companies team represents European venture capital firm in fundraising round.
Latham & Watkins advised Atomico as it led a US$100 million Series C to partner with Aiven, a software firm that combines the best open source technologies with cloud infrastructure. Salesforce Ventures and World Innovation Labs also joined the round, with existing investors Earlybird and IVP significantly increasing their commitments.
Global from the start, with offices in Berlin, Sydney, Toronto, and Boston, Aiven provides managed open source data technologies, like PostgreSQL, Kafka, and M3, on all major clouds to allow developers to create applications, while it manages cloud data infrastructure.
