George Davis Named to Turnarounds & Workouts’ 2019 Outstanding Restructuring Lawyers List

Competitive list identifies 15 lawyers in the United States who led high-profile matters in the last year.

George Davis, a partner in the New York office of Latham & Watkins and Global Chair of the firm’s Restructuring & Special Situations Practice, has been named to Turnarounds & Workouts’ list of Outstanding Restructuring Lawyers for 2019. The annual list recognizes 15 lawyers in the United States who led major matters in the last year.

Weatherford International, one of the world’s largest oil and natural gas service companies, in its Chapter 11 restructuring of more than US$8.6 billion in debt with collateral spanning the globe
Hexion Inc., a leading global chemical company, in restructuring its US$4 billion debt load
American Energy – Permian Basin, LLC in its successful out-of-court exchange, which involved the restructuring of US$2.2 billion of note debt and other debt obligations
Savers, Inc., the biggest for-profit thrift-store chain in the US, in an out-of-court restructuring involving US$1 billion of debt in the US and Canada
