Daily Journal
Daily Journal honors Douglas Lumish for guiding technology and life sciences companies through their most important trade secrets matters and market-shaping disputes.

Co-Chair of Latham’s Bay Area Litigation & Trial Department, Douglas Lumish has again been recognized by the Daily Journal, California’s legal newspaper of record, as a Top Trade Secrets Lawyer in California. This marks the third consecutive year Lumish has been honored, and he’s appeared every year the contest has been run. The Daily Journal’s 2021 list featured just 24 other attorneys.

Lumish was recognized for several high-profile trade secrets representations including US automotive company Rivian and pharmaceutical company AbbVie. In his profile, Lumish discussed with the Daily Journal Latham’s decision to get ahead of the curve and launch a series of webinars – Trade Secrets Unlocked – anticipating a wave of trade secrets litigation in the wake of Congress passing the Defend Trade Secrets Act of 2016. He said: “We were prescient, because we saw some uncertainty in the patent law realm.”

Lumish is frequently celebrated as a leader in trade secrets and intellectual property law, and was recently chosen by the Daily Journal for their prestigious Top Intellectual Property Lawyer honor roll for the eleventh consecutive year.
