Alfred Xue Named Rising Star by Private Debt Investor

Alfred Xue, partner in the New York office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the firm's Banking Practice, has been named to Private Debt Investor’s list of 2020 Rising Stars of the legal profession. Private Debt Investor said that the annual list “shines a spotlight on those who have demonstrated noteworthy leadership, innovation, and dealmaking skills, and have the talent to take the debt industry to new heights in the 2020s.”'

Xue represents direct lenders as well as lead arrangers in leveraged finance transactions, with a particular focus on cross-border transactions and acquisition financings. He has built substantial practice representing financing sources like direct lenders and debt funds that have become an increasingly influential source of capital. Xue is a go-to advisor to major players in the space, including Golub Capital, HPS Investment Partners, and KKR Credit Advisors LLC, and he has advised on some of the largest and most complicated unitranche deals, including Golub Capital in one of two US$2 billion unitranche debt facilities that closed in recent years, representing the largest US dollar denominated unitranche facilities ever. Latham was an early pioneer in the rapidly growing direct lending market, and the firm advises on hundreds of such direct lending transactions each year.

Xue also has been named a Rising Star by Law360 and the New York Law Journal.
