Ysa Gomez-Gonzalez is an associate in the Los Angeles office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the White Collar Defense & Investigations Practice. Ysa represents clients in high-stakes government and internal investigations, as well as complex commercial litigation, across a wide range of industries, including technology, artificial intelligence, healthcare, international manufacturing, and financial services.
She has particular experience advising global technology companies and other government contractors on Civil Investigative Demands (CIDs) and related internal investigations concerning potential False Claims Act exposure, including matters involving government cybersecurity requirements under programs such as the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) and the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) program. Ysa also represents companies in cross-border anti-corruption investigations, including a Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) matter involving a multinational joint venture, as well as healthcare fraud investigations involving kickback and billing concerns.
Ysa maintains an active pro bono practice, assisting clients on matters related to trafficking and immigration.
Ysa earned her JD from Boston University School of Law, where she served as co-president of the Latin American Law Student Association (LALSA), a writing fellow for the legal research and writing program, and a clinical student within the Immigrants' Rights and Human Trafficking Clinic, where she represented individuals seeking asylum. In law school, Ysa was also a summer associate in the firm’s San Francisco office and a legal intern for the US Securities and Exchange Commission, Enforcement Division.
Prior to attending law school, Ysa worked in the Legal Department at Oracle Corporation within the Global Compliance & Ethics Group.
