Youlan Xiu is an associate in the New York office of Latham & Watkins.
Youlan represents clients in complex commercial disputes, including consumer class actions and securities litigation. She also maintains an active pro bono practice, including providing guidance for transgender clients navigating name change petitions in New York.
Prior to joining Latham full-time, Youlan was a summer associate in the New York office, and a judicial intern at D.C. Superior Court and the United States District Court for the District of Columbia.
Youlan received her JD, with honors, from the George Washington University Law School, where she was an articles editor for the George Washington Law Review and a member of the Moot Court Board. During her final year in law school, she served as a legal research and writing instructor for first year law students as a Dean’s Fellow.
Prior to law school, Youlan worked as a government affairs associate for a leading multinational manufacturing and technology company, and as a trial paralegal for a boutique litigation firm in Washington, D.C.
