Michelle Wong is an associate in the Hong Kong office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the firm’s Data & Technology Transactions Practice.

Ms. Wong advises clients on a variety of corporate matters, including data privacy, technology, regulatory, commercial, and intellectual property matters.

Ms. Wong’s experience includes advising clients on cross-border data privacy compliance, with a focus on the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and data protection laws in the APAC region, including the Hong Kong PDPO.

Ms. Wong works with clients from various sectors, with a principal focus on technology, social media, gaming, and telecommunications.

  • A global technology and internet group on its regulatory compliance for various product offerings through conducting multi-jurisdictional regulatory surveys across Europe, APAC, North America, South America, and Africa.
  • A global social media company on managing responses to law enforcement and regulatory requests and investigations.

  • One of the largest Chinese video-sharing mobile apps on its data privacy compliance program.

  • A Hong Kong-based non-fungible tokens (NFT) platform on its data privacy compliance in Hong Kong.
