Yejin Kim is an associate in the Seoul office of Latham & Watkins.

Yejin has handled legal aspects of international project finance transactions, various securities transactions, and corporate governance and compliance matters in her prior roles.  

Prior to joining Latham, Yejin worked in the legal department of several organizations in Korea, including a leading securities firm, an accounting firm, and Korean export credit agency (ECA).

Yejin is qualified to practice before the New York and District of Columbia Bars. She is not registered as a Foreign Legal Consultant in Korea.

Yejin’s experience includes assisting in the representation of:

  • Papua LNG Project, Papua New Guinea: The ECAs and lenders on the project financing of the proposed Papua LNG Project in Papua New Guinea
  • Barossa LNG, Australia: The ECAs and commercial bank lenders on the proposed financing of SK E&S’s 37.5% share of the Barossa LNG gas field
  • Seadrill Limited Chapter 11 Restructuring, Bermuda: The Korean ECAs in connection with Seadrill Limited’s multi-jurisdictional chapter 11 restructuring of funded debt
  • Export Financing: The Korean ECAs and commercial bank lenders in connection with an export financing
  • Trafigura Refinancing, Singapore: KEXIM and commercial bank lenders on Trafigura’s refinancing of loan facilities
  • Bank Loan Facilities Agreement, Australia: KEXIM, as borrower, in connection with a bank loan facilities agreement to finance its general corporate funding requirements
  • AVEO Oncology Acquisition, USA: LG Chem on its acquisition of AVEO Oncology, a biopharmaceutical company focused on the discovery and development of novel cancer therapeutics
  • SEC-Registered Green Bonds, South Korea: BNP Paribas, Citigroup and other underwriters on KEXIM’s SEC-registered green bonds. This transaction was awarded “Debt Market Deal of the Year at the Asian Legal Business Korea Law Awards 2022
  • EMTN Program Update and Green Note Offering, South Korea: Citi and other managers in connection with Korea Water Resources Corporation’s EMTN program update and offering under the EMTN program
