Tyler Israel is an associate in the Silicon Valley office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the Data & Technology Transactions Practice.

Tyler advises public and private companies and their investors in the technology and life sciences sectors on the intellectual property, technology, and commercial dimensions of their most important transactions. His practice spans mergers and acquisitions, capital markets and securities offerings, joint ventures, and other strategic transactions, as well as licensing, development, collaboration, and commercial agreements.

Tyler also serves on the Pro Bono Committee for the firm’s Bay Area offices and maintains an active pro bono practice representing veterans with disabilities and underserved communities in immigration matters.

Tyler received his JD from the University of California, Berkeley, where he achieved academic awards in venture capital and intellectual property law. Prior to law school, he worked as a laboratory scientist for biotechnology companies in the Mountain West region.
