Tiffany Weston is an associate in the Washington, D.C. office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the Intellectual Property Litigation Practice. As a former patent examiner at the US Patent and Trademark Office, Tiffany offers unique insight on patents and portfolio strategy.
Tiffany applies her in-depth technical experience to complex patent litigation pending in district courts and before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB). She has experience in a wide array of technological fields including biotechnology, e-commerce, mobile applications, streaming, and machine learning.
Tiffany previously served as law clerk to the Honorable Kimberly A. Moore at the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
Prior to joining Latham, Tiffany worked as a Primary Patent Examiner at the USPTO in medical diagnostics technology. During her tenure, she detailed at PTAB developing extensive knowledge of PTAB’s operations and decision-making processes.
Tiffany earned her JD from Georgetown University Law Center (GULC), where she served as managing editor of the Food and Drug Law Journal. She also earned her bachelor’s degree in Bioengineering from the University of Maryland, College Park.
