Thomas Mariño is a litigation and trial associate in the San Francisco office of Latham & Watkins.
Thomas represents public and private companies in a variety of litigation and trial matters.
Thomas maintains an active pro bono practice, representing incarcerated people suffering abuse behind bars and public employees facing disability discrimination.
Thomas received his JD from UCLA School of Law, where he served as a board member for both the UCLA Law Review and the Latinx Law Student Association and played on the UCLA Club Beach Volleyball team. He graduated with specializations in Public Interest Law & Policy and Critical Race Studies.
While at UCLA Law, Thomas worked within the Veterans Legal Clinic representing a disabled Marine Corps veteran in a PTSD claim to the Veterans Affairs office, and successfully obtained a 100% permanent and total disability compensation rating for the service veteran. Thomas also worked as a research assistant to Professor Aaron Littman, conducting research on county jail expansion across the United States.
Prior to joining Latham, Thomas worked as a summer associate in the firm’s San Diego office and interned with the Los Angeles County Public Defender and the Los Angeles County Alternate Public Defender.
