Thomas Farrell is an associate in the London office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the Corporate Department.

Thomas advises clients on a variety of transactions, including domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, private equity, venture capital, and general corporate matters.

He previously trained in the firm’s London office, gaining experience in corporate, finance, and entertainment, sports & media, as well as completing a secondment to the London office of The Carlyle Group.

Thomas maintains an active pro bono practice.

Thomas’ experience includes advising:

  • Hellman & Friedman on its acquisition of Hyve from Providence Equity Partners and Searchlight Capital Partners
  • CVC on the sale of a minority stake in Rayner to investment holding company Groupe Bruxelles Lambert
  • AIR Limited on its business combination with Cantor Equity Partners III, a special purpose acquisition company, and subsequent public listing
  • Anglo American on an agreement to sell its portfolio of steelmaking coal mines in Australia to Dhilmar
  • Varkey Group on the investment in GEMS Education by a consortium led by Brookfield Asset Management
  • The consortium led by Fahad Al Ghanim on the acquisition of MK Dons Football Club
  • The England & Wales Cricket Board on eight strategic franchise partnerships for The Hundred
  • Novo Holdings on its acquisition of Benchmark Genetics from Benchmark Holdings plc
  • Cobalt Holdings plc on its proposed initial public offering on the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange
