Thomas Edwards retired from the partnership in March 2014. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Edwards was resident in the San Diego office and practiced law with the firm since 1983. His practice focused on general corporate and securities law, and he had a strong background in capital financings, acquisitions, divestitures, and spin-offs of companies and partnerships. Mr. Edwards regularly represented companies and investment banking firms in public offerings, private placements, venture capital financings, and corporate partnering arrangements.
At the time of his retirement, Mr. Edwards was a member of the American, California, and San Diego Bar Associations. In addition, he acted as outside legal counsel for numerous Southern California companies.
