Tayler Woelcke is an associate in the New York office of Latham & Watkins.

Tayler advises companies in high stakes intellectual property matters, including: 

  • Trademark enforcement, prosecution, counseling, and litigation
  • False advertising and unfair competition litigation
  • Trade secret litigation
  • Internet law, including domain name portfolio management and recovery of domain names 

Tayler has experience in nearly every stage of litigation, having represented clients in numerous federal and state court actions. She also handles disputes before key agencies, including the United States Patent and Trademark Office’s Trademark Trial and Appeal Board and the World Intellectual Property Organization. 

She also maintains an active pro bono practice.  

Tayler graduated from Cornell Law School where she served as an articles editor for the Cornell Law Review, an academic peer advisor, and an associate for the Legal Information Institute. Tayler also participated in a variety of Cornell Law Clinics. She was awarded the Frederic H. Weisberg prize for performing with distinction in Constitutional Law.

Tayler has handled disputes for a variety of clients, including: 

  • A major energy company in a complex trade secrets matter in the Superior Court of California, Alameda County, against a renewable fuels company
  • Scilex Pharmaceuticals Inc., whose focus is the development and commercialization of pain management products, in a false advertising matter against Sanofi-Aventis U.S. LLC and Hisamitsu America Inc. relating to their marketing of competitive lidocaine patch products over the counter
  • An AI company in a trademark dispute, resulting in a successful defense against a motion for a preliminary injunction and temporary restraining order that allowed the company to release its product 
  • A leading exercise equipment and media company in trademark, false advertising, unfair competition, and trade secret disputes 
  • A leader in the sale of new and remanufactured automotive parts in a trade secrets dispute filed by a competitor 
  • CoStar in defending two regulatory challenges filed by Move, Inc. (Move) before the National Advertising Division (NAD) of the Better Business Bureau
  • Several other companies in trademark matters, including GOAT, Evernote, and Duolingo
